The Beatles
The Beatles are the most famous band in the world. The four band members (John, Paul, George and Ringo) started to play together because they all lived in Liverpool, England. They became popular in the early 60s because they wrote their own songs. In 1965, The Beatles stopped holding concerts because the noise made it impossible to hear themselves. After this they spent more time in the recording studio. Because of that, the music they made became more interesting. They split in late 1969 because they wanted to do their own thing.
